1. Who is responsible
This service (“bored”, the “Service”) is operated by Manuel Couto Pintos, an individual with tax ID 77462284D and address at Campo da Vila 21, Cambados (Pontevedra), Galicia (Spain). Contact: motu@bored-dot.net.
2. Purpose
bored is a decentralized social network for meeting people, chatting and sharing presence. It is currently in a preliminary phase (waitlist and testing). Using the Service implies acceptance of these terms and of the Privacy Policy.
3. Decentralized nature
bored runs on a peer-to-peer (P2P) network: most communications and content are exchanged directly between users, without passing through a central server under our control. As a result, the operator does not host, monitor or control all the content circulating on the network, and responsibility for such content lies with whoever creates or shares it.
4. Minimum age
You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. If you are younger, you may not register or use bored.
5. Account and identity
bored offers a dual identity: public (with your real profile) and anonymous (with a pseudonym). You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity carried out with your account.
6. Acceptable use
By using bored you agree not to:
- harass, threaten or impersonate others;
- share unlawful, violent, child-sexual or hateful content;
- send spam or malware, or attempt to breach network security;
- use the Service for illegal purposes or to infringe third-party rights.
7. User content
You keep ownership of the content you create. Much of the content on bored is ephemeral (messages, channels, presence) and is not permanently archived. You grant us only the technical, temporary license needed to transmit and display that content to its recipients.
8. Intellectual property
The “bored” brand, logo, software and design belong to the operator or its licensors and are protected by applicable law.
9. Availability and warranties
The Service is provided “as is”, in a testing phase. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or freedom from errors. We may modify, suspend or discontinue features at any time.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, the operator shall not be liable for indirect damages arising from use of the Service, nor for the content or conduct of other users on the P2P network.
11. Suspension
We may suspend or terminate access for anyone who breaches these terms or the law.
12. Changes to the terms
These terms are versioned. If they change materially, we will ask for your acceptance again within the app.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by Spanish law. For any dispute, the parties submit to the courts that apply under the relevant consumer-protection rules.
