Delete your account and data

1. From the app (recommended)

Open bored → me tab → account section → delete my account. It's immediate and needs no contact with us.

2. By email

If you can't access the app, email info@bored-dot.net from the address you signed up with, subject "Delete account". We process it within 30 days and confirm by email.

3. What gets deleted

The account (email, session and network identifiers) on our servers.
Everything local on the device you request it from: identities, chats, preferences and consents.
Your waitlist entry, if any.

4. What isn't deleted, and why

Content that already travelled over the P2P network (messages, posts) is ephemeral: we don't store it, it lives temporarily on the devices of the people you talked to and expires by itself.
Analytics are pseudonymous and aggregated with differential privacy; they can't be linked to you. You can request their erasure from the app ("erase my collected data").
Reports you made or received are kept without your account identifier, so we can keep acting on abusive content.
